yin-yang macrobiotic "thyme" pop-up café

THYME
"Let thy food be thy medicine" - Hippocrates.

The macrobiotic concepts of yin and yang balance, cooking wholefoods in a grounded and traditional way, using seasonal and organic produce when available, make "thyme" a full-on macrobiotic experience.

Ingredients are naturally gluten-free, refined-sugar free, nightshade free.

In Macrobiotics, yin disperses the energy (relaxes and depletes at the extreme), whilst yang gathers (strengthens or tenses ir too much).

The Whole Hog

You've heard the theory, now get the chance to experience a healthy yin or a healthy yang menu!

There is always some reading at the event, explaining more about the season and the ingredients.

Each pop-up has a different menu, which is normally remaining a surprise until the night.

Yin menus: for yang tense, stressed people who need to relax and disperse the excess energy, cleanse, etc.

Yang menus: for yin tired, people with low energy who need to feel nourished with richer meals (more oil and salt, longer cooking times).
