What Dad Cooked

What Dad Cooked is a celebration of Dad’s family cooking. After 20 years of 'restaurant quality' home dining, brothers Pete and Leo thought their Dad’s Cooking too good not to share. In 2015 (with 'Dad') they set-up the What Dad Cooked blog (www.whatdadcooked.com). Now, his amazing food is available for you to try for yourself. Dad’s inspirations are global, but whatever the menu on the night, you can expect a warm familial atmosphere and of course Dad’s delicious food.

The Whole Hog

The Beast of Brixton is hosting the What Dad Cooked supper clubs. This intimate two-storey bar on Acre Lane has established itself as an enviable hidden hangout and is quickly developing a reputation as a perfect supper club venue. Dad is American and introduced the cuisine to his family from the start. Dad’s wife is Italian and this has proved to be a strong influence on his cooking, especially as Italian food is so convivial and family-based. Dad also soaks up ideas from his travels and cuisines from around the world. The supper clubs start with a California Dreamin’ theme and reflect the food of Dad’s upbringing in Northern and Southern California. Later menus will feature food inspired by Italy and travels in the Mediterranean and the Orient. At each club Peter and Leo Williamson will be serving dinner and sharing their passion for their Dad’s cooking.
