Why Join the Table?

A summer sharing 3-course feast served on a long banquette table under the stars in West Norwood’s original gastro pub – The Great North Wood.

Since 1972, this lovely West Norwood pub has been the place for locals to meet together, have fun, and relax. Now, fully refurbished as the Great North Wood, its principles still remain the same - a relaxed, family-friendly pub, serving delicious food, great beer and a lovely beer garden perfect for sunny days!

You'll be eating family style with a menu including free range chargrilled chicken “off the grill” and then a BUILD YOUR OWN Eton mess!

In a Nutshell

Feast's Food Week is returning in June 2017, and this year we are teaming up with Station to Station: West Norwood and Tulse Hill Business Improvement District for a series foodie events at your favourite West Norwood and Tulse Hill venues. We are celebrating all things cultural, creative and artistic, so if it's poetry, art, storytelling or dance that catches your eye, come and join us!

The Whole Hog

The week is powered by West Norwood Feast, the monthly community-run market, and Station to Station: West Norwood and Tulse Hill Business Improvement District. Our aim is to showcase many of the great eateries that West Norwood and Tulse Hill now have to offer.

[Review of The Great North Wood]I organised a meet up for 4 girls, there were 2 other girls there when we arrived, although when we booked it stated that the table was booked for 16 people, however this was not case. The starter and desert was nice, however we were not impressed with the main meal, the chicken was quite dry and tasteless, potatoes were small and wrinkly, no seasonal veg or salad to go with the meal. I was quite disappointed, it was not worth £28, sadly i was still very hungry after the meal, we were all excited with the desert which we shared and finished it within 5 minutes. I really hope next time they will up their game. The service was great and the staff were very friendly

[Review of The Great North Wood] The starter and pudding were really nice. The chicken in the main course was a bit dry and the roast potatoes were in the dish and should have been seperate. It would have been nice to have a side salad to accompany the main course. The other people at the event were really nice.
