Caribbean Feast

Why Join the Table?

"Famous for its community spirit’, is how Time Out recently described West Norwood. Come and experience this first hand at a special evening where West Norwood’s unique Portico Gallery joins together with Southside Rehabilitation Association (SRA), bringing you an affordable Caribbean feast for all to enjoy.

Join us for a delicious and fun evening of food, music and entertainment plus a chance to sample a full range of Caribbean cuisine at the Portico Gallery. The food will be prepared by Joanna Soto Correa, SRA’s fabulous, local, professional chef. Her buffet style menu will allow you to savour a whole range of Caribbean dishes. So if you think Caribbean food is just jerk chicken, here is your chance to sample a whole lot more….though of course there will be jerk chicken too!

In a Nutshell

Feast's Food Week is returning in June 2017, and this year we are teaming up with Station to Station: West Norwood and Tulse Hill Business Improvement District for a series foodie events at your favourite West Norwood and Tulse Hill venues. We are celebrating all things cultural, creative and artistic, so if it's poetry, art, storytelling or dance that catches your eye, come and join us!

The Whole Hog

The week is powered by West Norwood Feast, the monthly community-run market, and Station to Station: West Norwood and Tulse Hill Business Improvement District. Our aim is to showcase many of the great eateries that West Norwood and Tulse Hill now have to offer.

This was billed as a Caribbean Feast but my friend and I were disappointed. Free drink on offer was mulled wine but I think a punch would have been more appropriate to the theme. The food was tasty but boring, just your usual jerk chicken. I was hoping for a goat curry. There was live music which was classical and we both felt that some reggae would have livened up the atmosphere. On a positive note the drinks to buy were priced reasonably.

Great, perfect social night to end West Norwood Food Week. Coconut Cake something special!!

The Caribbean Feast was a great community evening, very friendly and with very well-cooked food and a wicked rum punch

Another soon please :)
