In a Nutshell

A Syrian mother and daughter, so heartbroken about the plight in Syria were driven to try anything to help in some way.
Mama Faten is a proud Damascene and incredible cook and Shahla worked in restaurants and event production for the music and film industry. So The Syrian Supper Collective was born.
In light of the tragedies occurring the region and in Europe, we wanted to share some positive Syrian stories through our food and infamous Syrian hospitality..

The Whole Hog

The Syrian Supper Collective aims to share Syria’s best with anyone intrigued in tasting authentic no frills Middle Eastern food in its most honest form. Syrian home cooking from the coastal region of Latakia to the Damascene traditions of brunch and meze. This won’t be food you know from your local Lebanese restaurants or high street kebab shop, but a culinary experience of a Syrian feast inspired by the seasons, the people and its rich history.
We have an intriguing bunch of hosts at the Supper club, all Syrians, including a comedian mixologist concocting Syrian inspired cocktails and some comical, musical outbursts. Music is provided El Frezidente, a Syrian/Lebanese DJ creating mixes of old and new music inspired by Syrias plight.
We also support our amazing relatives who initiated a fantastic charity Aid All Syrians. They help children directly affected by the war in Syria. Every £80 raised funds one orphan for an entire year at the orphanage.

Plentiful tasty food, warm and very welcoming ambience. Only downside was I would have liked to have learned a bit more about Syria from the Syrians hosting the charity event and more details on the actual charity.

A wonderful evening, food to die for and a fabulous friendly atmosphere

This was my first supper club ever. It was a Mother's Day present from my two daughters and my plus one was my husband. I love middle Eastern food. My sister in law is Palestinian and a fantastic cook. When we arrived the atmosphere was warm and friendly and I realised that the great thing about supper clubs is that you don't just talk with your other half but get to know the people sitting around you which is great. We met some lovely people. I am a lover of starters and they did not disappoint. They were not the usual fare and just loved the beetroot khlat and the courgette dip. The aubergine with pomegranate was great too. My husband doesn't eat meat and they made a special salmon dish for him which he said was fantastic. I particularly liked the chicken sumac rolls. As for the ambience, it was brilliant. The club was supporting an orphanage and guests had the opportunity to buy a drawing done by the children and the money raised goes to the orphanage funds but there was no pressure. There was live music of a very good standard and I thoroughly enjoyed the whole experience. I would absolutely go again.

A splendid evening, with the right mix of relaxation and focus on the problem and why help needed. A hugely welcoming team and a fun bunch of guests. Anyone will feel at home here, sitting down to dinner with friends or strangers. There is a strong sense of Arab world hospitality which made this pop-up unique.

amazing supper club! great atmosphere, amazing food and super staff

Living up to the great reviews. We had amazing food, atmosphere and company. With the added plus of raising money for such a crucial charity, we are certain to return! Thank you lovely people!

Fantastic food in a great family atmosphere. There were delicious starters, followed by tender lamb and yummy chicken rolls! I was so full I couldn't eat my dessert! I will be coming again and pacing myself better! There was impromptu dancing and singing and the ambience was glorious. I would highly recommend it.
