From a family of foodies i grew up working with my parents in their catering business. I left the industry and after 15 years out of it I quit my job and wanted to relight the flame of my passion and cook again. I set up my own business in 2015 and went to a New York culinary school in 2016, now I am back i want to share my food with people in memory of my father that i lost in January 2017.

The Whole Hog

My food is about the joy of eating new flavours and the happiness and warmth it brings people. Iraqi food is not widely seen in London but is growing slowly through some amazing chefs, I want to put my mark on the cuisine which allows people to enjoy the beautiful dishes i create. Tradition and culture is apparent with the dishes, this will bring nostalgia to the Iraqi people and new and interesting flavour sensations to first timers. My birth country is more than about war and suffering, we have beautiful traditions and an extensive history that i want to show people through my food.
