The Billingsfield Kitchen was established by Matt Bushnell, restaurant manager at 8 Hoxton Square. He has teamed up with Lee Skeet, former head chef of michelin starred Hedone who comes with a colourful history in many of London's finest restaurants having worked with the likes of Tom Aikens, Nuno Mendes, Marcus Wareing and Gordon Ramsay.

After a first sellout event in September, The Billingsfield Kitchen is please to announce their second popup from the 9th - 11th April.

The Whole Hog

We serve a seven dish set menu of modern British sharing plates as well as a free arrival cocktail and some light nibbles. Matt believes "Sharing food makes a meal… We want people to try many different flavours and it means a group of friends can get together and share the experience. It demands more interaction between you and your food. Your space doesn’t finish at the edge of your plate, it’s more of a banquet… and it leaves no space for food envy”

Born and bred in Devon, Lee loves the sea and brings some unusual and remarkably great seafood matching to the table. Think Barbecued lamb, clams and seaweed. And...with a history in kitchens like his, you know it will be great.

Its a BYO event and we are charging £5 per head corkage but bring as much booze as you like. As a thank you we will be giving away a free arrival cocktail and we have teamed up with Market Row Wines Brixton where The Billingsfield Kitchen diners get a 10% discount.

The site for the next popup is particularly great. Searching for a bigger site after our last sell out event in September we were lucky enough to meet Sam and Theo of Beehive Place (a grubclub fave). As they have been so busy and needed to have a break and take some time off…and because they like what we are doing and share a similar ethos to well sourced British produce they thought it would be great to host us in their space. A beautiful large and open loft conversion in Brixton, we will be serving around 55 people an evening giving lots of opportunity to mix with each other after.
