Amazing food (the arancini balls!), awesome friendly hosts and lovely fellow guests (I ended up talking more to the 'strangers' at my table than to the friends I came with). A fabulous evening out!
We had a lovely time with Ruby and Pickles. The food was great and just the right level of spice. Really good value, couldn't believe everything we got for our money. It was lovely that Sareta and Jasel came round to speak to everyone to get our feedback first hand. My only tinyou criticism would be that it was quite loud and I sometimes had trouble hearing other guests but other than that it was a blast!
Having missed out on one of the chef's previous supper clubs I was very excited to attend Ruby and Pickles Inaugural Feast. The venue was great and provided the perfect atmosphere for a delicious vegan feast prepared by two fabulous chefs and hosts.
The atmosphere was relaxed and inviting with a great buzz. We were all excited by the delicious smells coming from the kitchen when we arrived. Whilst I am not a vegan I have been inspired by one of the chef (Sareta's) blog to enjoy more vegan dishes so it was a treat to try the delicious smelling three course meal prepared by her and her foodie partner. All of the dishes were delicious and for all of you meat eaters out there you REALLY do not miss the meat. The main meal was delicious with great sides worthy of any restaurant. My particular favourite was the desert. I am not a desert person as a rule but that is the dish that I am still craving….I just hope they put it on one of their menus again ;). My husband unfortunately couldn't make the evening but the hosts were amazing and provided him with a doggy bag for me to take home and enjoy the next day. FYI - it tastes just a good the next day too!!!
I am very excited about attending more Ruby & Pickles events in the future and the only reason they don't get 5 stars now is that I know there is even more to come :). I would urge anyone…not just vegans... to experience the Ruby & Pickles culinary delights…See you there..
As a dedicated omnivore i always like to know thats there's going to a meat option on the menu (yes, yes, I know, it's sad) so it was with some trepidation that I bought the tickets for this. My partner convinced me that it would be great - I told him if they tried to make me eat tofu I'd leave (the restaurant and then him). HOW WORNG COULD I BE! I tried everything on the menu (including the tofu, which was excellent) and it was fantastic. The combinations of traditional Indian cuisine with European staples (such as bruschetta) made for meal that continually delighted. My personal favourite was a side - the pickled beetroot, really packed a punch. The whole meal was great, I'm going to the next one. You should too!
