Pidgin

Sam Herlihy and James Ramsden closed down the Secret Larder to open a restaurant, Pidgin. But they were itchin' to get in the kitchen, and so have devised Back to Front, a monthly supper club at the restaurant with them cooking and the kitchen staff working the dining room. Every penny of profit goes to a different charity each month, and ticket prices include all drinks.

The Whole Hog

The Secret Larder was one of the most popular and longest-running supper clubs in town, and when it closed in July 2014 there were scenes akin to those of when Take That first split up. Utter carnage. But the Larder spirit lives on at these monthly charity nights at Pidgin: James and Sam cooking, their one-time waiter Hugh - now commis chef at Pidgin - reverting to his original role, and good food, good wine, and good times.

Back to Front at Pidgin is on the first Monday of each month, and will be raising money for a different charity each time. If you have a charity that you think it should support, please get in touch with James: [email protected]
