Grub Club: Indian Summer Evening

We were greeted by Neeta and her friendly team with a Bellini each and an abundant supply of delicious hor d'oeuvres. After a few minutes mingling with other guests we were shown to our table. These were arranged with around 10 people per table. The various courses were then brought to us by Neeta's team of helpers. There was a stunning king prawn appetiser with a lightly spiced sauce. Then another appetisier! Delicious lamb burgers. The main was a pleasantly spiced chicken dish. The sauce was very light, with none of the heaviness one often finds in a restaurant curry. There was an interesting aubergine side which set the dish off perfectly. Desert was more than ample with a choice of beautifully prepared cheesecakes and chocolate cakes. Our conversation with other guest at our table was vibrant and fun. The band was brilliant and played a mixture of jazz tunes and dance songs. People danced until well past midnight. Absolutely fantastic. I can't wait until the next one!

Grt eve. Food was all fresh, delicately spiced rather than curry hot and over spicey. It was possible to taste the success tle flavours. Grt atmosphere and loads of new people and had loads of laughs. Service was timely and very polite and helpful. Location was lovely in open sided marquee, nice lighting and a live three piece band playing grt variety of 'covers' songs and amazing singer. Cannot wait to do it again. Thks Neeta.
