Food is my life and part of everything I do. Our food originates from Zanzibar with influences from India, where my ancestors are from. From a young age I remember waking up to a home infused with aromas of exotic spices and herbs, there were people wondering around impatiently in anticipation of the delights that were about to tantalise our taste buds. Nobody ever left without a smile on their face. This is what I want to carry forward and share with others.

The Whole Hog

Bedazzle your tastebuds with authentic East African Indian flavours straight from the island of Zanzibar. This is something different for you, your friends and family to enjoy together. A true and authentic experience, Aaliyah and her team are keen to share this unique cuisine with as many people as possible. They host their events in their warm cosy home in Archway, Islington or in one of their delightful popup venues and offer you an six course tasting menu.

Vegetarians and most dietary requirements can be catered for - please just message Aaliyah once you have booked this spot.

The menu will be kept a surprise until the night but examples of the tasting dishes are:

• Biringani (smoked aubergine slowly cooked in various spices and coated in a tomato sauce)
• Kuku Paka (a tender chicken curry, infused with coconut and spices, lightly smoked and served with mandazi, a sweet African bread)

If that hasn't set your mouth watering then perhaps the thought of their famous meat or veggie lollipops will do the trick!! You will not leave without a full tummy and a smile on your face! Arrive at 6.30pm for a 7.00pm start. You will be served a small amuse bouche before the courses are rolled out. Places fill up quickly so book yourself and your friends on today! As part of London Food Month we will be holding an event on 24 June for 20 guests. If you like Indian food and spice you will absolutely love East African Indian food. Here you will be served with a six course plated tasting menu and guaranteed to meet like minded friendly people.
