Mrs J's Kitchen

Mrs J's Kitchen started in a suburban south London kitchen after I reached Masterchef's 'final 10' in 2010! Friends loved what I was doing and I decided to turn my passion into a career; I quit my job and trained as a professional chef at Le Cordon Bleu London.
I've freelanced for event caterers and helped out at pop-up restaurants all over London. I now cook at one of south London's premier gastro pubs on certain nights when not catering or supperclubbing!

The Whole Hog

It's become almost a cliche but my cooking is inspired by the seasons as why wouldn't you want produce when it's at its best?! Also, I was raised in Africa by Scottish parents and we ate fairly exotically as children so that left its culinary mark. My travels continued in my 20's and I worked my way round the world for six years and certain cuisines resonated which is why my supperclubs regularly celebrate the 'edible atlas'.
