Very tasty food and enjoyable company!
Saturday evening was lots of fun. The table size of 10 was perfect to get to know everyone there and feel comfortable chatting to anyone.
The pork belly nibble was delicious, topped with a really good sticky sauce. My favourite course was the duck liver parfait with port jelly - just a perfect combo.
I really like the two types of duck and the different varieties of veggies served with them - I preffered the overall taste of the cassoulet as a meal, but the taste of the winter blend varierty was my fav flavour for the duck on its own.
Pudding was divine - in fact it was so good I ate all of my boyfriend's portion too whilst he was outside smoking!!
Thanks for having us!
I rarely eat meat. So I was more than delighted when the duck confit menu turned out to be magnificent. Kane and Liv were the friendliest hosts and made sure everyone had a great time. I loved everything: and the two different duck confit dishes were superb. It was impossible to choose a favourite - but the beetroot cooked in its own juice, channeling David Chang, was instantly memorable. Dessert, a sublime chocolate caramel tart, was so good I ate someone else's leftovers for seconds. Kane - it was fabulous!
Confit Comme Ça's courses were delicious from start to finish! I could eat the confit pork belly all day (not advised) and the two varieties of confit duck, alongside the cassoulet, were sensational!
Combined with Liv's homely hosting and the great mix of guests, it was a fantastic evening that I would love to repeat!
What a fun night to be at Liv's house and to be introduced to 2 types of confit! We were split down the middle. Half of us preferred the Traditional Confit, half the Toulouse Confit. A nice transition to taste both as we leave the depths of winter and turn towards spring. We enjoyed very much the chat around the table and around the hob with Kane.
Lovely hospitality and company.
i enjoyed the evening at Liv's house in Shepherd's Bush very much indeed .. the dinner was truly delicious ..!! and the company was excellent -- such good food accompanied by some very stimulating conversation in delightfully relaxing surroundings .... and all very ,very good value for money ..
Great atmosphere and excellent food of which the duck was the undoubted highlight. More please chef!
Fabulous food, great location, wonderful atmosphere. Hats off to the chef for providing this confit perfection.
I absolutely loved the food, and it was a great experience!
Lovely setting and atmosphere and the confit duck choices definitely were the highlight of the evening, they were delicious!
We had a very enjoyable eve. The food was delicious, especially the three different types of confit duck. The location was great too. Thanks everyone!
A super evening. Wonderful food not just the duck! Brillant canapes, salad & great pudding. Well organised & beautifully hosted.
Thank you so much for a great evening. The food was delicious and inventive, while the dining room at the Duke's Head was a fantastic venue for the event. Looking forward to the next confit duck tasting!
The evening was brilliant. The space was perfect for the event, and the food was sublime, some excellent cooking! The five different types of confit duck were all superb, and voting for our favourites really added to the atmosphere. A great night.
My girlfriend and I had a really great evening at the Duke's Head in Putney. We sampled 5 courses altogether, 3 of which had confit duck, another of beetroot and goats cheese and a tarte aux pommes to finish. All 5 were absolutely delicious. The atmosphere in the venue was just perfect with different groups of friends all there to have a good time. Thoroughly enjoyable and well hosted by Kane and GrubClub - I'll be keeping a close eye out for more from Confit Comme Ca.
I know the chef from his day job and have been enormously impressed with his skill in the kitchen. The event was a bit slow paced, but the venue and the company made it feel right--plenty of time to take it all in and to socialise. I love the idea of tastings for things other than wine, cheese, or chocolate.
delicious and interesting food, and a warm environment. Overall a unique and very tasty experience.
