Brunch Beirut for Refugees at Home

Why Join the Table?

For a special Christmas edition, Brunch Beirut will be fundraising for Refugees at Home, an amazing charity connecting those with a spare room with asylum seekers and refugees in need of accommodation. Until summer 2017, Refugees at Home had no funds and was solely run by volunteers. As the demand is always growing, they now have serious financial commitments and need all the support possible to continue their crucial work.
Using ingredients straight from Lebanon mixed with fresh produce, we’ll be bringing the spirit of Beirut Sundays to our flat in London. I will be cooking up a storm of dishes to share with a dozen soon-to-be friends, while Malek keeps you entertained and hydrated. All dishes are shared, with no starter or main, just an endless selection of colourful plates, mostly veg...

House Rules: We will offer complimentary Arak, but please feel free to bring your own bottle.

Smoking permitted in the garden.

We like to place our guests, so please make sure you let us know if you'd like to be seated with particular people who have booked separately.

In a Nutshell

Ribale here, the brains (and hands) behind Brunch Beirut. Growing up in Lebanon, I spent endless mornings watching my mom upturn our kitchen whipping up dishes one after another like magic. It was only a matter of time until I too attempted to cook up a storm. I love experimenting with traditional Lebanese recipes. I take great pleasure in preparing meals and sharing them peppered with stories, laughter and warmth to well-fed guests!

The Whole Hog

Picture this

A warm Sunday morning. Whizz through empty streets of Beirut. Buzz. Door opens. Kiss, kiss, kiss. Have a drink. Share a laugh. Fight for the best seat at the long table. Plates as far as the eye can see. Spreads, breads, meats, salads, tea. And the centrepiece – bottomless Arak.

Because honestly, what else would one do on a Sunday morning?

This affair never starts before midday, for sleeping in is a requirement to be able to endure such large amounts of consumption. Always lasts well into the afternoon, turns into a mini-dance off and ends with promises of a repeat.

I’m convinced the Lebanese invented brunch, and I'm on a mission to spread the word.

My husband and I had a fantastic time! This is not our first GrubClub and this is by far the best one we have experienced. :-) Beautiful brunch! Amazing cuisine fresh, traditional & great atmosphere. We will definitely recommend it!

We had a fantastic Brunch, hosted by Ribale and Malek. Having lived in the middle east for many years, we have a fair idea what good Lebanese grub should taste like. Brunch Beirut was spot on and reminded us of what homemade middle eastern cuisine tastes like. The crowd was fun with great conversations all round. A great experience and highly recommended.

Incredibly friendly hosts producing delicious Lebanese food like we have never tried before! Light, fresh, colourful, delicious - we couldn't recommend this supperclub enough, better than any Lebanese food we have tried in a restaurant.

Delicious honest food and lovely hosts. Probably the best Lebanese meal of my life and we truly enjoyed the welcoming atmosphere.

The food, the setting, and the crowd were absolutely great! Cannot wait for the next one!

I loved Ribale’s scrumptious food. Her menu had a huge variety and each and every dish was very delicious and beautifully presented. If you’re are after generously provided and seriously yummy food, stylish and homely ambiance and amazing hosts, don’t miss Brunch Beirut!

Ribale and Malek were wonderful hosts - attentive, friendly and warm at all times. Chef Ribale cooked up a delicious storm, gradually sending us all into blissful food comas, while Malek kept the conversation going and the drinks flowing. The food was entirely homemade and a lot of thought had gone into its presentation. The music in the background, the open plan kitchen and Ribale's countless plants-in-residence gave the flat a very homely feel and created a relaxing atmosphere. Overall, a great experience and highly recommended. Lebanese food and hospitality at it's finest.

Brunch Beirut was AMAZING! From the utterly delicious food, to the great conversation around the table, and the most attentive hosts you could ask for. This is such a fun way to spend a Sunday, and I will be recommending to all my friends!
