Whoever said spontaneous nights out are always the best has clearly never felt the pain of trying to get a last minute group booking over the festive period. For all you realists, on the other hand, you’ll know a little forward planning is sometimes vital to facilitate the fun times. Yes, people, it’s time to embrace the Doodle Poll, update that Google Calendar and whip your festive social schedules into shape. Starting with this private, Narnia-themed feast just for you and your buddies.
The Literary Hour is offering its sell-out Feast In Narnia event as a private lunch or dinner from the 9th to the 16th of December. For groups of 40 people or more, the team is transforming a secret venue in East London into a magical, Narnia-themedspace where you and your private party will feast on a five-course, immersive dining experience.
The menu features intriguing dishes inspired by the Chronicles of Narnia such as the White Witch’s celeriac velouté with apple crushed snow, black pepper scone and horseradish butter, a sharing pork picnic and Mrs Beaver’s marmalade care package. Even if you don’t remember who Mrs Beaver is or what on earth her care package could contain, the fact that it comes with custard and marmalade vodka is surely all you need to know.
