I've always loved cooking and sharing food with friends. I learned from my mum as a little girl and she’s still the best cook I know! Middle Eastern and Indian-inspired dishes really excite me with their big flavours and are perfect for crowds. I wanted to share my passion for food and so 8 Plates was born. I cook the food I enjoy eating, with the emphasis on flavour and colour, using predominantly seasonal ingredients. Come and experience vibrant, delicious, plates cooked with love.
Everyone's invited to 8 Plates. Join me in the relaxed and intimate setting of my quirky Archway flat to enjoy a delicious, lovingly prepared meal. I have a passion for hosting and cooking carefully-crafted dishes which layer flavour and celebrate seasonal produce. To develop my menus I primarily draw on a broad range of Middle Eastern flavours and influences from my own Indian heritage to create vibrant, spice-infused dishes. Think charred cauliflower steaks and pumpkin wedges drizzled in aromatic zhoug and chilli spiked harissa and chai spiced lemongrass panna cotta with blackberry lemongrass coulis and pistachio praline. These are served in my small but perfectly-formed flat. With only eight seats, you’ll be sure to make new friends as you enjoy a welcome cocktail, four-course dinner plus an extra surprise course thrown in for good measure!
