Why Join the Table?
The worst of winter is nearly over, and to celebrate, Tacochu returns to the cozy space above the best-loved corner shop in lower Clapton for another Japanese feast. This time the focus is on seafood – think crab, scallops and seared tuna. So leave your new years' resolutions at the door and join us around the supper table once again for five festive courses, original cocktails and hearty conversations to keep those February blues at bay.
Guests are encouraged to purchase their drinks from Palm 2 on the ground floor, which offers a great selection of wines, beers and spirits.

Chu’s supper clubs are inclusive, casual and friendly.
We’re all about bringing Japanese comfort food (with our own twist on each dish) to the supper tables in London.
We also love being part of the local Clapton community.
My cooking style is influenced by my Japanese and French parents, who are both great home cooks.
Having moved from Japan to London in 2005, I started Tacochu as a street food stall at the start of the summer.
It has now evolved as a regular supper club - offering a Japanese-inspired menu for friends, locals and foodies to enjoy.
